Look no further, because I have found the two best Valentine's dinner menus to impress even the pickiest eater.

Candlelit Dinner for Two

First up is a romantic candlelit dinner for two. This menu is not only delicious, but also easy to prepare, so you won't be sweating in the kitchen all day.

Ingredients:

  • 2 filet mignon steaks
  • 1 lb. of asparagus
  • 1 cup of cherry tomatoes
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 bottle of red wine

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, then spread them out on a baking sheet. Roast them in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  3. While the potatoes are roasting, season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking.

  • 4 oz. of smoked salmon
  • 4 oz. of sea scallops
  • 1 lb. of beef tenderloin
  • 1 lb. of shrimp
  • 2 cups of beef stock
  • 1 cup of red wine
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 bunch of parsley, finely chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut the smoked salmon into small pieces and arrange them on a plate.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the sea scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn golden brown. Set them aside on the plate with the smoked salmon.
  4. Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper. Sear it in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until browned all over. Transfer it to a baking sheet and roast it in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.
  5. While the beef is roasting, peel and devein the shrimp. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until pink and cooked through. Set them aside on the plate with the smoked salmon and scallops.
  6. Add the beef stock and red wine to the same skillet you used to cook the beef, scraping up any brown bits on the bottom. Let the mixture simmer until it has reduced by half. Turn off the heat and whisk in the butter and parsley.
  7. Plate the beef, shrimp, smoked salmon, and scallops. Pour the sauce over everything and enjoy your restaurant-quality meal.
