- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Lay the rashers of bacon on top of the chicken breasts, leaving edges overhanging the chicken. This will protect the chicken from drying out in the oven's heat.
- Over medium-high heat, heat the oil and butter in a skillet. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook until the bacon is crispy and golden. Flip the chicken so that the bacon is now on the bottom and cook until the other side is crispy.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and place it in a baking dish. Bake in the oven for around 20 minutes, or until completely cooked through. Set aside while you make the sauce.
